GREEN BAY - A $250,000 cash bond was set for the suspect in a Green Bay murder case.

Terry Lee Shepard, 22, is charged in the fatal shooting of Steven Sims. Sims was shot at an apartment on Stuart St. in April.

Shepard was arrested in southeastern Wisconsin last Thursday after allegedly tying up a woman and beating, strangling and robbing her in Racine.

Police say Shepard has admitted his involvement in the shooting, but told them he was acting in self-defense.

A preliminary hearing in the case is set for Aug. 1.
