SHAWANO (WLUK) -- An unmarked box left outside a bank in downtown Shawano prompted a bomb squad call.

Shawano police say the package was discovered around 8:30 a.m. Friday outside BMO Harris Bank. Bank employees thought the unmarked box was suspicious, so they reported it to police. The Brown-Outagamie County Bomb Squad was called in to investigate.

Authorities discovered that the box contained pens. It's not known how the box ended up outside a door, since the bank told police that is not how it receives deliveries of office supplies.

The bomb squad cleared the scene just before noon.
