      Authorities collect statements from missing kayakers

      DOOR COUNTY - Door County officials say they've interviewed the kayakers found on the waters of Green Bay Friday morning.The Coast Guard located the missing kayakers about two miles north of Whaleback Shoal.Authorities say after they look over the kayakers' statements, a meeting will be held next week.During that meeting, first responders will review their response time and discuss whether improvements need to be made in the future.Door County sheriff's deputies say it took 15 hours to find Alison Alter, 43, of Austin, Texas; her son Zachary Suri, 9; and her nephew Thomas Alter, 9.
