Ashwaubenon student honored for handwriting
ASHWAUBENON – Handwriting may be considered a lost art with the rise of computers, tablets, and smartphones. For Emily Anna Cooper, a fifth grader at Valley View Elementary in Ashwaubenon, it’s not.
She was selected as a semifinalist in a national handwriting contest. That means she is in the Top 20 in the nation.
More than 300,000 students entered the contest. Their entries were judged on things like legibility, size, shape, spacing, and slant.
