Police have three boys in custody for car theft

Search for stolen vehicle suspect

ASHWAUBENON - Ashwaubenon Public Safety has taken three boys into custody and is looking for another in the case of a stolen vehicle.

Lt. Jody Crocker says the boys, ages 11 to 15, took a Chevy Silverado from a house on Marlee Lane. He says the boys drove the truck to McDonalds, and then ditched it in Sherwood Forest Park.

Crocker says public safety was waiting for the boys at the park, thinking they might come back for the vehicle. The boys did return, and public safety was able to take two of the boys into custody. Another was taken into custody after a perimeter was setup around the park. One boy remains on the run.

Ashwaubenon Public Safety is working with the Green Bay Police Department on this case. Crocker says the boys are believed to be involved in other vehicle thefts in the area.

Authorities have called off a search of Sherwood Forest Park for the last boy because they say they know his identity.
