Appleton police: Man arrested for armed robbery

APPLETON – A 23-year-old Appleton man was arrested after an armed robbery Saturday.

It happened around 3:25 p.m. in the 100 block of W. Wisconsin Avenue.

Police say the suspect walked into the business, showed the clerk a knife, and left without paying for a tobacco product.

The employee wasn’t injured in the incident.

An officer, who was working the Flag Day Parade nearby, located and arrested the suspect. He was brought to the Outagamie County Jail for armed robbery, disorderly conduct, and bail jumping.
