      Motorcyclist hit by car in Appleton

      APPLETON - A motorcyclist was taken to the hospital Wednesday after being hit by a car in Appleton.

      The crash happened just before 11 a.m. at the intersection of E. Glendale Ave. and N. Meade St., which is right next to Appleton Medical Center.

      Police say the motorcyclist, a 38-year-old Appleton man, has serious head and body injuries.

      The driver of the car, a 94-year-old Appleton woman, wasn't hurt.

      No citations were given.

      The intersection was shut down for a couple hours.
