5 arrested in crack, heroin bust

APPLETON - Five people were arrested and more than $50,000 worth of drugs was confiscated in a bust in Appleton Wednesday.

Appleton police say officers from three agencies saw the suspects buy and sell drugs at several locations in the city.

Police found 282 grams of crack cocaine worth about $42,300 and 73 grams of heroin worth about $14,600. Police also took money from several of the suspects as evidence.

Those arrested were a 24-year-old woman from Park City, Illinois; a 23-year-old man from Zion, Illinois; a 42-year-old man from Kimberly; a 53-year-old man from Kaukauna; and a 43-year-old woman from Menasha.

None of the five has been formally charged in the case.
