The dueling ads over Trek this week mark one of the most spirited exchanges between the candidates in the race so far.
Burke's spot running statewide starting Friday is in reaction to Walker's ad that said Burke made millions from Trek, a company that employs workers overseas. It also implied Trek employs children at $2 an hour jobs. Walker said Friday that he is simply stating facts in the ad, which suggests that Trek is employing children to work in its China plant.
Burke's new ad says Walker's spot is "an outrageous attack on a great Wisconsin company." Her brother, Trek president John Burke, called on Walker to take down the ad, calling it false. Walker has refused.
