GREEN BAY (WLUK) -- Voters in the 1st State Senate District will head to the polls Tuesday for a rare June election.

After defeating Alex Renard to win a primary election last month, Republican Andre Jacque will take on Democrat Caleb Frostman in Tuesday's special election.

While Jacque won his race by 330 votes, Frostman ran uncontested in the primary election.

Whoever wins the seat will only hold the office for a few months; the regular fall election will determine who will hold the seat for the next four-year term.

The seat came open when Gov. Scott Walker appointed State Sen. Frank Lasee to his administration.
