      Flaky Biscuits

      Ingredients:2 cups flour, chilled1 tbsp baking powder, chilled1/2 tsp baking soda, chilled1 tsp salt, chilled6oz unsalted butter, cut into pieces and chilled3/4 cup buttermilk, chilled1 egg, chilledegg wash (1 eggand1 tbsp water, whisked together)Directions:Put flour, baking powder/soda, salt and butter into a food processor. Pulse a few times until butter in broken up into pea size pieces. Transfer to a large bowl. In aseparatebowl whisk together buttermilkwithone egg. Pour wet ingredients into dry. Fold together until just combined. Drop 2 tbsp of batter on to parchment line baking sheet. Brush the tops with egg wash. Place pan into a 425 degree oven. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown. Servewith whipped butter.
