      Crock Pot Brats

      Ingredients:

      3 bottles (12 ounces) beer

      1 stick butter

      2 medium yellow onions, sliced

      1 pound bag or jar sauerkraut, drained

      1 sliced apples (optional)

      12 to 16 brats

      12 to 16 brat buns or hard rolls

      Ketchup and mustard

      Directions:

      Grill or fry brats for a few minutes on each side just to brown up a bit. Place brats in a slow cooker. Dump beer, kraut, butter, onions and apples if using on top. in a slow cooker. Cook on low for 2 to 4 hours. Serve brats on buns with kraut, onions and ketchup and/or mustard on top.
