NEENAH (WLUK) -- A Cub Scout pack in Neenah is Making A Difference in the Fox Cities.

The group is hosting a diversity project called the Pinewood Derby for Children with Special Needs.

FOX 11’s Lauren Kalil was live with some of the Cub Scouts involved in the project giving us a preview of what the event will be like.

The event will be held in April because it is Autism Awareness Month, on Saturday, April 22. The goals of this event are to raise awareness of disabilities and to allow children with special needs to participate in a Pinewood Derby.

This is one of the most anticipated events in the Cub Scout year.

Participants of the event will get to decorate a partially assembled Pinewood Derby car and race it.
