A Greenville elementary student has a chance to win some scholarship money all because of a doodle.
Third-grader Vinessa Verheyen is a finalist in the Google Doodle competition. The popular search engine asked young artists to submit drawings of inventions that could make the world a better place. Google picked one drawing from each state.
Vinessa and her mom Debra joined us on Good Day Wisconsin to tell us about her drawing.
The public can vote on the drawings through May ninth.
The winner's doodle will appear on the Google.com homepage. He or she will receive a $30,000 scholarship and a $50,000 Google for Education technology grant for his or her school.
