APPLETON – The St. Francis Xavier Catholic School System announced some big changes in leadership Monday.

Bishop David Ricken has appointed Deacon Tony Abts as Diaconate Director for the Diocese of Green Bay. That will take him away from his duties with Xavier Catholic Schools where he has served 25 years in a variety of roles, including teacher, superintendent, and president.

At Xavier High School, Principal Matt Reynebeau is retiring after 36 years at the school. That will be effective June 30.

The high school’s associate principal, Donna Fahrenkrug is moving into a part-time role. She will be responsible for class scheduling and advisement, K-8 school outreach, and mentoring the new associate principal.

Xavier Catholic Schools has already started the process of filling these leadership positions.
