State Trooper struck and seriously injured in crash

The driver of the car was identified as a 41-year-old Little Chute man.-----WINNEBAGO COUNTY - A Wisconsin State Patrol trooper is recovering from serious injuries after he was pinned between his squad car and another vehicle along a slippery Winnebago County highway.The State Patrol says the trooper was investigating a crash and standing near the back of his squad car Sunday along Highway 41 near Menasha when a car spun out of control, struck him and pinned him against his cruiser. He was rushed to the hospital. The driver of the car wasn't injured.The highway was closed for several hours while the crash was investigated.
