TOWN OF SCOTT - People in the Town of Scott are being urged to run their faucets to prevent their water pipes from freezing.

Municipal officials recommend residents and businesses keep one faucet running in a pencil lead-sized stream of cold water until further notice.

Service lines in the Town of Scott have begun to freeze. Officials say the water mains are in good working order, but a few of the laterals have frozen, cutting off the water to the house it services.

Utility bills will be adjusted so that there is no extra cost to residents.
