Timothy Sullivan will enter a plea July 8 on three counts of attempted kidnapping and three counts of attempted child abduction.
Authorities allege Sullivan tried to lure three children into his car Oct. 5 -- by telling them he'd take them to grandma's house. He drove away when the children's mother approached.
Although he was charged less than a week after the incident, Sullivan was initially found not mentally competent to stand trial. That means he didn't understand the proceedings and couldn't help in his own defense.
However, Sullivan was deemed competent at a hearing Thursday, according to online court records.
