Students and Grandparents attend school classes

GREEN BAY - UW-Green Bay students on Thursday ranged in age from 7 to 70, or maybe even 8 to 80.

Grandparents' University is a two-day summer camp allowing grandparents and grandchildren to explore things they're interested in together.

15 courses ranging from Meteorology to Radio Broadcasting to Game Theory.

The camp offers a glimpse at college life, and hopes to show the children the importance and fun of higher education.

Mary Lannoye, one of the grandparents said it was a great opportunity to do something fun.

"I think just spending time with the grandchildren, anytime you can is wonderful," Lannoye said.
"Then we're also learning at the same time together!"

Some of the nearly 200 participants are staying all night on campus.

The camp finishes on Friday with a graduation ceremony.
