Starship, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band headlining Celebrate De Pere

DE PERE - Two classic bands will rock Celebrate De Pere this Memorial Day weekend.Organizers announced Monday that Starship and the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band will perform at the 24th annual festival.Starship featuring Mickey Thomas will headline Celebrate De Pere on Saturday, May 24 at 9:00 p.m. Starship is known for the songs "We Built This City," "Sara," "No Way Out," and "Nothing Gonna Stop Us Now."The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band will play the following evening at Voyageur Park. Their hits include "Fishin' In The Dark" and "Mr. Bojangles."Advance tickets can be purchased beginning April 1 at select Community First locations. They are $5 for a single day pass. Prices at the gate before 7 p.m. will be $5, $10 each at the gate after 7 p.m. Tickets are free to veterans and current military personnel with proof of service.
