GREEN BAY - The first place Green Bay Phoenix held off Cleveland State for a 59-56 victory Friday night. It's the 8th consecutive win for Green Bay. Redshirt freshman Mariah Monke scored a career high 17 points to lead the Phoenix. Breannah Ranger added 13 for Green Bay who outscored the Vikings 44-28 on points in the paint. It was a good thing the Phoenix were effective near the basket. They went just 3 of 17 from three point range in the game. Megan Lukan had 7 assists and 7 rebounds as well for Green Bay.

The win moves the Phoenix to 9-2 in Horizon League play and 16-7 overall. They return to action Sunday when they host Youngstown State.
