WEST ALLIS - An endangered bird will likely never fly again after it was shot near Milwaukee.

Someone shot the peregrine falcon behind a bar in West Allis last month. Peregrine falcons are on the endangered species list.

A bar employee says she looked out the kitchen window, and saw what she thought was a hawk.

The bird has shotgun pellets in its head, leg, chest and abdomen. The falcon also has a broken collarbone.

The bird is recovering at the Wisconsin Humane Society. It has been named Madame X.

The U.S. Humane Society is offering a $5,000 reward for information on who shot the bird.
