KIMBERLY - Thousands laced up their shoes in Kimberly on Saturday to walk for a cure.
The 9th annual Fox Cities Walk 4 Autism started at Tanner's Grill and Bar.
The focus was to raise awareness and money when it comes to autism.
The money will be used for research. It will also help Fox Cities families who have children with autism.
Organizers say it's inspiring to see the event grow each year.
"It really matters when you're struggling, sometimes autism is a struggle so to know that people really care and that they come out whether they have a direct connection or not they really care about kids like my son and that really matters so much," said volunteer Elizabeth Jones.
FOX 11 was a sponsor for the walk. Michelle Melby emceed the event.
