GREEN BAY - The Brown County Drug Task Force says it arrested a 49-year-old Green Bay man for allegedly selling heroin.

Authorities say the suspect was returning from Illinois Wednesday morning with a shipment of heroin. Officers tried to stop him on Lime Kiln Rd. near Debra Ln. on Green Bay's east side.

Officers followed the suspect to a parking lot on E. Mason St. near S. Clay St.

The suspect ran off. Officers found him in the backyard of a nearby residence. He was hiding under an overturned boat.

Investigators say they found 24.5 grams of heroin in the suspect's car. The street value of the drug is estimated to be between $7,400-$8,500.

The suspect is now in jail. He will be in court Thursday.
