APPLETON - ThedaCare has named a leader for all its hospitals, including two in the Fox Valley.

Brian Burmeister is now senior vice president of Appleton Medical Center and Theda Clark Medical Center in Neenah. Burmeister will oversee those hospitals in addition to continuing to oversee ThedaCare's rural hospitals in New London, Waupaca and Shawano. He will also continue to oversee the affiliation of Community Health Network in Berlin and Wild Rose Memorial Hospital.

“The staffs at our hospitals already work together and this will grow those cooperative relationships as we strive to improve the quality of care to all of our patients. Having Brian in this role makes sense,” Dr. Dean Gruner, ThedaCare president and CEO, said in a news release. “Brian is a great leader and sincerely wants the best for our patients and our employees.”

Burmeister joined ThedaCare in 1989 as manager of physical rehabilitation at Appleton Medical Center. He has since held multiple positions within ThedaCare.
