OSHKOSH - Police have found a ring that was picked up from a parking lot.

Police say the ring's owner accidentally dropped it in the parking lot of the Target store on S. Koeller St. on Sunday. Surveillance video showed a man later picking up a small object, examining it and then putting it in his pocket. It was never turned in to store managers.

On Friday, officers said they had figured out who owned the car seen in the surveillance video. They tracked down the 60-year-old Oshkosh man and he gave them the ring. It was then returned to its owner.

Police say the case is closed.
