Firefighters say the crash happened on the southbound on-ramp from Johnson St. to Hwy. 151 The driver lost control of the tanker and was pinned inside. Rescue crews took the driver to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Meanwhile, fire crews began the process of stopping and cleaning up leaking oil and milk. Following instructions from the Department of Natural Resources, the fire department kept the scene secure until companies arrived to clean up the spills and get the truck upright.
The tanker was carrying 5,200 gallons of milk.
