STURGEON BAY - Sturgeon Bay police say they have arrested a Green Bay man for allegedly making meth in a motel room.

Authorities say they received a call from the Best Western Motel around 1:10 Thursday afternoon. Housekeepers say they found suspicious equipment, chemicals and drug paraphernalia in a room. Officers say they recognized the items as things that would be used in the creation and use of methamphetamine.

Authorities say the renter of the room, a 33-year-old Green Bay man, was arrested at his place of employment in Sturgeon Bay. Police are recommending charges of possession of methamphetamine, manufacture of methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

A special disposal team from Chicago is coming to Sturgeon Bay to get rid of the hazardous materials.
