Green Bay - Two Local high school marching bands were among only 14 from around the country that got the opportunity of a lifetime on the fourth of July.
The Green Bay East Red Devils marched in the National Independence Day Parade Friday afternoon in Washington.
Months of practicing and fundraising paid off with today's parade on Constitution Avenue from 7th past the White House to 17th street.
Bands are selected on their overall quality and geographical, ethnic and stylistic diversity.
And Green Bay East wasn't the only area band.
Hortonville's Polar Bear band also represented Wisconsin.
This is the third time in eight years Hortonville has been invited to the parade.
