The Service League of Green Bay is hosting its Back to School store for 1500 children in need on Wednesday, August 6, from 8am to 5pm. Registration through several community agencies has already ended. However, the group is in need of volunteers and donations.
The Pulaski School District will host its Back to School Store on Tuesday, August 5. Contact the district office at 920-822-6000 for more information.
Back to School Registration is only just starting for three local organizations in the Marinette and Menominee Counties area. Here is information sent to FOX 11 by the St. Vincent De Paul Society.
Menominee County Department of Human Services distributes to children who receive services; Registration will start August 1.Distribution will start August 25. Call 906 863-1417 or 906 863-1418, or visit 2612 10th St, Menominee to register.
Salvation Army serves both Marinette and Menominee. Children register between July 28 and August 1. Distribution will be on August 25. Call 715 735-7448 to register.
Society of St. Vincent de Paul St. Joseph Conference-Holy Family Parish of Marinette, serves children from Marinette and Peshtigo School Districts only. You can register at the Marinette District St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store. Registrations will be taken Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. starting July 21st until August 15th. If families cannot make the planned registration dates and times, they can call the help line for a home visit registration at a time convenient for them. St. Vincent de Paul Distribution dates by appointment only according to your registration family number on Wednesday August 20th 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Thursday August 21st at CJ's Outlet, 1616 Marinette Avenue, Marinette WI.

Crivitz and Wausaukee School Districts: Preregister by calling Kathy Nowak, Community Director 715 854-3215 by August 1. Distribution is at the Megacenter across the street from the Farmers and Merchant’s Bank. Distribution for Crivitz School District is on August 20. Distribution for Wausaukee School District is August 22.
Recipient families for all three area programs can only sign up with one of these community programs. Lists are shared amongst these Marinette and Menominee programs to ensure only one listing per child.
If residents want to help these children in need, they are encouraged to adopt a child by purchasing their school supplies and/or their first day's clothing (gym shoes, shirt and pants - cost will be $50-$75 depending on age of the adopted child).
Name tags, with clothing needs listed will be posted at Angeli Foods in both Marinette and Menominee. The Marinette Angeli Foods has the greater Marinette-Peshtigo area students from St. Vincent de Paul and Salvation Army. Angeli Foods in Menominee has the Menominee area students from Salvation Army and Menominee County Department of Human Services who are in need of school supplies and first day's outfit.
Collection bins for school supplies are strategically placed throughout Marinette and Menominee for Salvation Army and the St Joseph Conference of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul.
All sponsored child items are due to the Angeli Foods that you took the child’s list from, before August 15th in preparation for distribution dates the following week.
