APPLETON - Overnight lane closures are coming to Hwy. 41 in the Richmond St. area.The state Department of Transportation says the northbound lanes of 41 will close at 9 p.m. Sunday and Monday, opening at 5 a.m. The next day. The southbound lanes will close at the same times on Tuesday and Wednesday. Traffic will be diverted onto the Richmond St. interchange ramps.Crews are placing girders on the northbound portion of the bridge that was removed earlier this year. It's all part of a $4.2 million project to raise the bridge from 15 feet to 16 feet, 9 inches of clearance. The bridge deck is also being widened from 39 feet to 39 feet, 11 inches, and separated bike/pedestrian lanes are being added.Richmond St./Hwy. 47 is also closed in the area. Drivers can detour around the area by using Hwys. OO, JJ and E.
