      Guinness Doughnut Holes with Irish Whiskey Caramel

      Guinness DoughnutsIngredients:1 1/2 Cup Flour1/3 Cup Sugar2 Teaspoons Baking powder 1/2 Teaspoon Salt 1/2 Teaspoon Ground Nutmeg1 Egg3/8 Cup Whole Milk1/8 Cup Guinness Draught2 Tablespoons Melted ButterOil for Deep FryingIn a large bowl or stand mixer, add all dry ingredients (Flour, Sugar, Baking Powder, Salt, Nutmeg) and mix. In another bowl, mix all wet ingredients (Egg, Milk, Guinness, Butter). Slowly add the wet mixture to the dry mixture, until combined.Heat Oil to 375 degrees, Roll dough into balls, and drop into the oil (5-6 at a time). Fry until browned, approximately 1-2 minutes. From the oil, drop & roll in sugar. Drizzle or dip into the Irish Whiskey Caramel Sauce.Irish Whiskey CaramelIngredients:1 Cup Sugar1/3 Cup Irish Whiskey4 Tablespoons ButterSalt to tasteIn a Saute Pan, add Sugar and cook over Medium Heat, until sugar is golden brown. Remove from heat, add Irish Whiskey (It will bubble vigorously). Once the mixture settles, return to Medium Heat and mix until smooth. Add Butter and combine.A recipe from Indulge Catering.
