MANITOWOC - Girl Scout troops from across Manitowoc County traveled the world today without leaving the Lakeshore.

It was all a part of "World Thinking Day."

The Girl Scout holiday has been around since the organization's founding in 1912.

This year, the scouts gathered to take a tour of countries...with the help of some well-traveled volunteers.

The volunteers set up booths about countries they have visited.

Organizers say it shows scouts how we are all connected.

"It is for Girl Scouts and girl guides across the country to come together and realize that you are not the only troop to celebrate sisterhood," said service unit manager Tabitha Seefeldt.

The scouts received their World Thinking Day patch for participating in Sunday's activities.
