GREEN BAY - An area Girl Scout troop is making a difference, one blanket at a time.

Troop number 4204 delivered more than 50 blankets made by the troops to the Green Bay Metro Fire Department on Saturday.

It's part of the second annual "Feed the Firefighters, Cover the Kids" project.

Blankets will go to kids who had fire damage their home.

The group also made dinner for the firefighters, who respond to those fires.

One of the troops says it's important to give hope to the kids.

"It's something like if kids lose all their stuff in a fire, they have something else to look forward to in the future, kind of," said scout, Hannah Badillo-Beyer.

The troop's leader says she hopes to hold the event next year, and to have more troops get involved with the project.
