GRAND CHUTE - Even though the weather hasn't been great, it was a great day to learn about it.Thursday was the inaugural FOX 11 Weather Day at Fox Cities Stadium for the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers game.Pete Petoniak and Patrick Powell spoke to the crowd about different types of weather and had severe weather information for the fans. Both also got to throw out a first pitch.Overall, it was a great turnout."It was fantastic. We had a chance to talk to the kids, there were a lot of high school and middle school kids too. They learned a little bit about weather, talked a little bit about severe weather too and they learned how to use a green screen," said Director of Meteorology Pete Petoniak.Weather took a toll on the games this week. The Timber Rattlers played two double-headers starting Wednesday to make up for the missed days.
