SUAMICO - Some fish needed help getting out of a tricky spot this week.Each spring, northern pike swim from the bay of Green Bay into wetlands near Longtail Beach Rd. in Suamico to spawn. However, as water levels drop, the fish can become trapped.Related Stories:
>>More Stories On Monday, a crew from the DNR, Brown County Land and Water Conservation Department and UW-Green Bay went out to rescue the trapped fish. They stunned the fish and netted them to transport them back to the bay.Before they released the fish, the crew also took measurements.Watch the video above to see the crews netting a fish and moving to shore.
