Ex-supervisor pleads not guilty to strangulation counts

APPLETON - A former Outagamie County supervisor pleaded not guilty Friday to charges he choked several family members, according to online court records.Lloyd DeGroot faces three counts of strangulation and suffocation. He was charged for allegedly trying to choke his wife, and two of his sons in separate incidents. No trial date is listed in the online court record.He resigned from his 11th District seat on the County Board after charges were filed.
