Former Wrightstown track and field star Bonnie Draxler has taken her performance to a new level.Competing in the U.S.A. Track and Field Junior Championships at Eugene, Ore., this past weekend, Draxler placed second in the pole vault with a personal-best height of 13 feet, 11 1/4 inches. Her effort landed her on Team USA in the World Junior Track and Field Championships at Hayward Field in Eugene, July 22-27."I feel great," Draxler said. "I made it last year (onto the Pan Am team), so that was my main goal, just to try to make it again."Draxler will attend San Diego State starting in the fall and her new personal best would rank fourth all-time in San Diego State history.Draxler is one of the most decorated high school track and field athletes in the state of Wisconsin as she is one of four girls to have won 10 individual state titles during her career (four pole vault titles, four 400-meter titles and two 100 dash titles).Last month at the state track and field meet, Draxler put an exclamation point on her career as she set an all divisions record with a vault of 13-3.Follow Doug Ritchay on Twitter @dougritchay
