Chance of flurries today, rain and snow for mid-week

Early week forecast
Early week forecast

Expect mostly cloudy skies today and a chance of flurries and a high near 26.

A storm system will move into the region Tuesday and push through the state on Wednesday bringing a mix of precipitation.

Warmer air surges in ahead of that storm Tuesday afternoon resulting in highs near 38 with mostly cloudy skies.

The first bit of precipitation arrives late Tuesday as all rain showers.

The rain will start as a mix with and change to all snow as the storm exits on Wednesday.  Highs will top out in the mid 30s.

Right now it looks like snow accumulations for most of the area will be 1 to 2 inches with higher accumulations to the northwest of Green Bay and the Fox Cities.  Most of that snow will fall Wednesday morning.

Winds will become strong in the afternoon out of the west at 15 to 25 mph with gusts to 30 mph.
