IXONIA - A body found in a Jefferson County cornfield has been identified as a Milwaukee woman.
Alejandra Guzman-Flores' body was discovered by a person driving by on March 29. The driver says Guzman-Flores' body appeared to have been in the cornfield for a while, and was only wearing sandals.
Guzman-Flores' family says they last saw her in early October. The family did not tell police she was missing. Family members say they are grieving and aren't ready to speak.
Some friends have questions. A woman who wanted to be identified only as "Carmen" said she last saw Guzman-Flores last summer.
"I mean I wonder what really happened to her. How they found her, that's strange," she said.
The Jefferson County Sheriff's Department is asking anyone with information about Guzman-Flores to call them.
