Area high school dance teams crowned champions

The best high school dance teams in the state competed in the state championships this weekend in La Crosse. Several high school teams from Northeast Wisconsin each took home a state title. A couple teams took home two.

The Green Bay Southwest Troyettes defended their Division 1 Pom state title Saturday during the Wisconsin Association of Cheer and Pom Coaches State Championships.

The Pom Division was a strong one for Northeast Wisconsin with area schools also claiming titles in Division 2, Division 3 and Division 4.

In Division 2 Pom Ashwaubenon High School ranked supreme, beating out second place Hortonville.

In Division 3 Pom Waupaca defended its title from last year with another first place win. Waupaca also took home the title once again in Division 2 Jazz.

In Division 4 Pom Little Chute claimed the top spot. Little Chute also won first place in Division 2 Kick.
