MADISON, Wis. (AP) - The U.S. Air Force's new budget plan cuts 39 positions in the Wisconsin Air National Guard.Twenty-three jobs at the Volk Field Combat Readiness Training Center in Camp Douglas would be eliminated. The Wisconsin Department of Military Affairs says 16 positions at the Milwaukee-based 128th Air Refueling Wing would also be affected.Maj. Gen. Donald Dunbar says he hopes the cuts could be made through attrition. The budget still needs the approval from Congress.Twenty-three hundred people serve in the Wisconsin Air National Guard.
