MARINETTE COUNTY – A Green Bay man has been charged with first degree reckless homicide after selling heroin to a 25-year-old man who overdosed and later died.

According to police, 41-year-old Clarence J. Wilson sold $125 worth, or three bags, of heroin to the victim and a witness on June 27, 2014.

After using one of the bags of heroin that same day, the victim overdosed and was taken to a Green Bay hospital where he was treated and released.

On June 28th officers responded to a home in the Town of Stephenson in Marinette County for a possible overdose. After attempts to revive him, the man was pronounced dead at the home.

Officers were able to identify Wilson as the dealer from the witness who bought the heroin with the victim.

Wilson was arrested July 10th and remains in custody at the Brown County Jail.

During a search of Wilson’s home, police found suspected heroin, a cell phone, scale and other drug paraphernalia.
