Appleton police find dog and dog owner in bite incident

APPLETON – The Appleton police have identified the dog and spoke with the owner responsible for a bite incident that took place at a business August 19th.

The reporting party of the victim told the police earlier that the bite occurred at an intersection and they were unable to identify the owner of the dog.

The reporting party admitted to fabricating the first story in order to protect the dog owner.

The dog owner was cooperative and they will be issued a summons for “Animal Attacking Without Provocation” and the reporting party will be issued a summons for “Interference with Animal Control Officer.”
