SUAMICO – Bike riders didn’t mind the heat out in Suamico Sunday.
The Wisconsin Off Road Series held a bike race at the Brown County Reforestation Camp.
Riders as young as seven years old took part in the ride.
Professional riders biked as far as 36 miles.
This year a climbing wall and zip lines were offered as entertainment for people not riding.
Racers involved say the course is unique because of the many different types of terrain.
“It’s a relatively flat course, it’s pretty flat terrain, but there are some hills mixed in. It’s single track and double tracked. It’s a mix of very technical riding, but it’s pretty flat and fast,” said race co-director Ethan Lenss.
More than 700 bikers took part in the race.
