GREEN BAY — It seems like the Packers will again have to deal with a significant preseason injury to a key player. Multiple reports on Saturday say Green Bay defensive lineman B.J. Raji will miss the entire season with a torn biceps.
Raji suffered what the team called an arm injury during the Packers preseason win over the Raiders on Friday night at Lambeau Field. After the game, head coach Mike McCarthy said he did not have additional information on the injury, but said Raji was “pretty confident” it was not serious.
On Saturday, the NFL Network, ESPN and the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel all cited sources saying Raji has a torn biceps muscle in his right arm.
Raji signed a one-year contract with the Packers in the offseason. He made the move to play primarily nose tackle in Dom Capers’ 3-4 defense this summer and seemed pleased with the change.
