DE PERE – Today belonged to the dogs at VFW Pool in De Pere on Sunday.
It was the 3rd annual Pooch Plunge, where dogs took over the community pool.
Dogs had the chance to swim and participate in contests.
The event marked the last day the pool was open for the year.
The parks department said it is one of their favorite days to work.
“Last year was a little warmer then it was today and every single bench around the pool was filled with spectators from the neighborhood just sitting around and watching the dogs have fun and what not.” said Stephanie Schlag for the City of De Pere. “So it’s a good time.”
Proceeds from the event went to the De Pere Dog Park Committee and the Park and Rec Department.
