Police found suspects in purse theft case

GREEN BAY – Door County police have arrested the man they suspect had been stealing purses from multiple store locations in Bellevue and Sturgeon Bay.

They also have the female accomplice in custody and are questioning her about her involvement.

The suspects were found camping at Potawatomi State Park.

Police were able to identify them through store surveillance video.

On Tuesday, August 12th, about 8:30 a.m. The Brown County Sheriff’s Office observed on video of a man stealing a purse from a shopping cart while a woman was unloading groceries from her cart into her vehicle in the parking lot of Festival Foods in Bellevue.

In another incident on Thursday, August 14th, the same man, with a female accomplice, was seen stealing a purse from a woman at Econo Foods in Sturgeon Bay.

The Wal-mart in Sturgeon Bay also had video of the same man as he is purchasing a large amount of camping supplies.
