SEATTLE — Ashwaubenon High School and University of Wisconsin alum Mike Taylor was waived (injured) by the Seattle Seahawks on Saturday, according to the NFL’s transaction wire. The linebacker was on Seattle’s practice squad last season before being cut then re-signed in the offseason.
Taylor went undrafted and unsigned out of Wisconsin after an accomplished career. He had two sports hernia surgeries, but told FOX 11 over the summer he was looking forward to competing for a spot with the Seahawks. While at Ashwaubenon, Taylor played high school football against Seahawks GM John Schneider’s nephews. Schneider was a Packers executive at that time.
