TOWN OF MENASHA – Three people have been charged in connection with two separate heroin deaths.
In the first case, officers say a 21-year-old woman died last Sept. 20. Evidence at the scene, plus autopsy results, confirmed she had been using heroin. Adam Bishop, 25, of Neenah, is accused of supplying heroin to the woman.
In the second case, a 35-year-old man died on March 21. Again, police say autopsy results pointed to heroin as the cause of his death. Amanda Hanstad, 27, and Nicholas Hanstad, 33, both of Kaukauna, have been charged for their role in supplying heroin to the victim.
Police say in the past year, a total of three heroin-related deaths in the town of Menasha have resulted in homicide charges.
